Quranic “Lexicology” as one of the most important subjects, has always been the focus of Quran researchers. Since there is no proper “method” to explain this subject, Modulation has often faced challenges, such as inaccuracy in Semantics, incompleteness of the concept, and so on. For the same reason, it is necessary to provide a coherent, complete, and logical method for this subject. Therefore, this study is to present a proper model. Firstly, it proposes a comprehensive and complete method, secondly, by using the analytical-descriptive method, it analyzes the meaning of the words derived from the root word “sharā”, on which there are different ideas. After that, the contemporary Persian equivalences of the word “sharā” in the Quran, and the strict adherence of Quran translators to the verses including this word, are examined (scholars such as Āyati, Elāhi Ghomshei, Rezāei, Sha'rāni, Saffārzadeh, Safavi, Fooladvand, Fayz al-Islam, Meshkini, Mesbāhzadeh, Moezzi, and Makārem). The present study concludes that the core meaning of the word “sharā” is “to exchange”, which according to the context of the verses, means “to give” or “to take”, although the above-mentioned translators have been incapable of expressing this kind of meaning. Nevertheless, some of the translators such as Āyati, Elāhi Ghomshei, Sha'rāni, and Fayz al-Islam, have referred to this meaning in some verses, using similar terms.

Linguistic context is a collection of in-text elements that provide grounds of text significance in conjunction with each other and thus results in the correct transfer of the concept of the word as well as the general discourse of the text. Linguistic context is a general concept that consists of four levels of lexical, grammatical (syntactic), rhetorical, and phonetic layers. Consideration of the linguistic context ruling over the verses of the Holy Quran helps to understand the meaning of the message. Al-Qara'a's Sura is among the Suras that expresses particular signifiers of the great incident of the doomsday for its special language structure. Different translations of this Sura have often not been adequately addressed in its linguistic context as a signifying element in transferring the meaning of its verses. The present study, by adopting an analytical and comparative approach, investigates two examples of translations of the Holy Qur'an (Fouladvan and Makarem-eh Shirazi) from Sura Al-Qara'a based on the linguistic equivalence principle in the source and target texts, and at the end proposes a translation that observes the linguistic context based on three lexical, syntactic, and rhetorical elements. Finally, the results of the research indicate that despite the fact that some of the components of the linguistic context have been considered in translating of a number of verses, the total transference of implicit symbolizations arising from the whole linguistic context of the Sura in the translation of many verses is neglected.

Traditional and modern linguists consider the linguistic context as one of the important topics in language studies and especially in semantics. In traditional syntax and rhetoric, "deletion" bears many similarities with the modern linguistic context. The extensive presence of linguistic context in semantics, such as context in syntagmatic relation, in other words, in grammatical structure, especially semantic relations such as synonymy, polysemy, antonymy, and even in higher levels, the paragraph and context may help the reader to comprehend the exact meaning of words; this, also, is highly important in translation. This article tries to explore the features and functions of such context in both traditional and modern linguistics. Furthermore, to some extent, it refers to the similarities and differences of linguistic context in semantics by considering the subject of parallel in syntax and rhetoric.
