چکیده

گیدئون توری به عنوان یکی از نظریه‌پردازان حوزه زبان شناسی و ترجمه، ضمن به چالش کشیدن رویکرد مبدأمحور ترجمه، الگویی مقصدمحور شامل هنجارهای سه گانه آغازین، مقدماتی و عملیاتی را ارائه کرد و گامی مهم در جهت استانداردسازی ترجمه برداشت. این پژوهش بر آن شد تا با استفاده از همین الگو و بهره‌گیری از روش توصیفی-تحلیلی و مراجعه به منابع کتابخانه‌ای، به بررسی و نقد ترجمه فارسی یکی از رمان‌های نجیب محفوظ به نام «زقاق المدق» از محمدرضا مرعشی‌پور بپردازد. یافته‌های حاصل از بررسی ترجمه فارسی این رمان نشان داد؛ از نظر هنجار آغازین، مترجم ترجمه فارسی رمان مذکور را با بهره‌مندی و مبنا قراردادن هنجارهای زبانی مقصد، به‌گونه‌ای ارائه می‌دهد که کارکرد و پذیرش متن ترجمه شده در بستر فرهنگی و زبانی مخاطب هدف، اهمیت بیشتری دارد. مترجم از لحاظ هنجار عملیاتی، علاوه بر التزام به بهره‌گیری از هنجارهای ساختاری شامل: افرایش یا حذف واژگان و عبارات و پانوشت، از هنجارهای زبان‌شناسی شامل: معادل‌یابی و ویژگی‌ سبکی نیز بهره گرفته است و در مجموع در انتقال سلیس و روان محتوا موفق ظاهر شده است.

Review and Critique of the Persian Translation of the Novel "Zuqaq al-Midaq" Based on Gideon Toury's Normative Model

چکیده [English]

Gideon Toury, as one of the prominent theorists in the fields of linguistics and translation, challenged the source-oriented approach to translation and proposed a target-oriented model encompassing three types of norms: initial, preliminary, and operational. This model marked a significant step toward the standardization of translation. The present study aims to utilize this model, employing a descriptive-analytical method and referencing library resources, to review and critique the Persian translation of Naguib Mahfouz's novel "Zuqaq al-Midaq," translated by Mohammad Reza Marashi-Pour. The findings of this study reveal that, in terms of the initial norm, the translator prioritizes the linguistic norms of the target language, ensuring that the translated text functions effectively and is well-received within the cultural and linguistic context of the target audience. Regarding operational norms, the translator adheres to structural norms, such as the addition or omission of words, phrases, and footnotes, while also incorporating linguistic norms, including equivalence-finding and stylistic features. Overall, the translator has succeeded in delivering a fluent and coherent rendition of the content.
